The Passito Liquoroso di Pantelleria from the famous Cantina Pellegrino di Marsala is produced from Zibibbo grapes grown in sandy volcanic soil at an altitude of up to 300 m near the sea on the island of Pantelleria in western Sicily. This golden liqueur-like passito has an intense and persistent bouquet. It is harmonious and honeyed, with notes of dried fig and slight hints of apricot and mustard.
