YAMAHA® Seascooters are the reference point for underwater vehicles that can be used to enjoy snorkelling on the surface of the water or to dive, professionally or recreationally, to explore the seabed, river or lake. YAMAHA® has accustomed us, over the years of its presence on the market, to its Seascooters with their unmistakable design inspired by torpedoes, hydrodynamic and tapered.
2019 sees the international market debut of the new model, the YAMAHA® SEA WING Seascooter, with an innovative concept that departs from the standard design in favour of a more modern shape, vaguely reminiscent of the twin thrusters of a glorious F-14 Tomcat.
The twin propellers, located at both ends of the vehicle, are powered by a powerful Brushless electric motor that allows them to reach a thrust value of 12 kg, powered by the high-performance 22.2V / 6.3Ah Lithium Ion battery, already used for YAMAHA® Seascooters in the Professional Dive Series, which guarantees the vehicle a range of 45' with just one hour of recharging.
The depth that the new YAMAHA SEA WING can reach is 40 metres and it can reach a maximum speed of 6.5km/h. There are two different speeds for the rotation of the propellers and, to this end, there is a special LED in the central part of the body of the Seascooter that indicates whether you are travelling in low or high gear by changing colour. There is also a practical battery charge indicator, also in LED form, to keep the remaining autonomy under control.
In order to comply with European standards for underwater vehicles, YAMAHA®SEA WING operates only when the activation triggers are pressed at the same time; in fact, when even just one of the triggers is released, the motor that pushes the propellers stops.
YAMAHA®SEA WING also comes with a special Action Cam support with a GoPRO®HERO attachment to secure your video camera directly to the body of the Seascooter. The real innovation of this new 2019 model, however, is that the YAMAHA® SEA WING Seascooter can be transported by plane as hand luggage. The extremely low weight of just 3.7 kg makes it really easy to transport and even manoeuvrability in the water is positively affected, making it one of the most manoeuvrable YAMAHA® Seascooters of all time.
YAMAHA® SEA WING also achieves excellent safety levels. The main switch prevents the Seascooter from being operated when not required, both propellers are enclosed in a protective, non-contact grid and, when the battery reaches a minimum charge, a special signal warns the user to return to the surface. Available in the special Black-Yellow colour, SEA WING is the most versatile model in the entire YAMAHA® Seascooter range, capable of offering great emotions in all conditions of use.
